The history of Aathmalayaa

A CBSE Co-educational school in Karaikal with a vision of :

Vision Statement: "Mentoring toddlers of karaikal to gradually turn into better & responsible citizens of tomorrow by adopting HOLISTIC EDUCATION" 

Different Dimensions of Aathmalayaa' holistic approach :

Physical health - We give equal importance to physical well being of our children & staff. From KG till chairman, an hour of play a day is mandate..

Innovation - We have always stood a step ahead when it comes to science & innovation. Every district level science exhibition has our representation & equal awards. Infact , one of our students invented a Solar sprayer way back in 2010 for which he stood first national level.

Life skills & Culture - We have a well organized parallel curriculum from class LKG till Class XII where we educate the children about real-life skills ( Ex : nail cutting , how to iron , filling cheques , opening a bank account , basic cooking & other etiquettes ) After 5 batches passed out of Aathmalayaa , we feel proud when the whole city talks about Aathmalayaa as a culture itself..

Academics - We have a unique framework when it comes to handling the classes..Debates , GD , Skits , Quizzes, PPTs are mediums of learning and teaching here at aathmalayaa..Our 6th STD students can make PPTs all by themselves and handle sessions on own.

These are the pillars of Aathmalayaa School through which we make life better at Aathmalayaa & justify our holistic approach.

We have 2 acres now, 22 rooms , 4350 books in library , 10 play courts , 20 sport activities , 5 laboratories ( physics , chemistry, biology , computer & math) , 1 AV room , 26 computers , 4 laptops , 1 school van & 1 ATAL Tinkering lab We are one of the best Green campuses in karaikal.

We have close to 500 students , 30 teaching and non-teaching staff at present

Aathmaa's care : We have planted & distributed over 1500 saplings just in last 2 years to our parents & local community ( lakshmi nagar ) and good to see them grown 8 plus feet taller now.. Every year, our parents & our staff members contribute 25-30 units of blood thru the blood donation campaign held at our school.
